Ice Fishing Equipment for Beginners

Fishing For Beginners
If you want to get on the ice, here’s a list of the ice fishing equipment basics: Auger, Ice Skimmer, Rod, Reel, Line, Jig, Wax Worms, Pliers, Bucket. For about $75 to $100 USD, you can get on the ice and catch some fish. You don’t need all those fancy electronics to catch some fish. Just get yourself a few items, and you can start your own adventure.

Here’s a list of the ice fishing gear in this video

1. Auger
2. Ice Skimmer
3. Ice Fishing Rod
4. Ice Fishing Reel (it came with line on the spool already)
5. Tungsten Jig (but any fishing jig will work. Think small)
6. Pliers
7. Wax Worms (if you can’t get these, use Crappie Nibbles, or some other Berkley Bait, or even Slim Jim’s)
7. A bucket.

Good luck! This isn’t a comprehensive list for ice fishing, just a list of ice fishing basics to get you started. I hope this helps you. Now go get some ice fishing equipment and get out there (as long as there’s some good ice).
